Yeah, that’s why i’m so confused why the author/people are using “learning disability” when they clearly mean something else. Maybe they are unsure what the correct word is? And unaware of google?

Because “learning disability” commonly refers to things like dyslexia where people are perfectly smart/normal but struggle with some small aspect of learning. It seems like what is actually happening is she has a cognitive disability (the thing where you have an iq >80).
