I'm down with that. I've been to see movies on Christmas Day, but not in a long time. Frankly, in the age of Netflix and Amazon Prime, there is absolutely no need for movie theaters to be open on holidays anyway.

Because practically everyone (in my universe and whom I know personally, with the exception of one relative who teaches school) has to work holidays, the suggestion that working holidays is unusual or objectionable just strikes me as confusing.
Nobody cares about nurses or orderlies, either, and they sure as shit aren't making doctor wages.
Part of it's a punitive thing. Incarceration should not be wholly about punishment, but it shouldn't not be about it at all either. If you defraud thousands or millions of people out of millions or billions of dollars, you deserve to be separated from society for a while.
