The sexualization of teen girls is the underlying issue. It absolutely does not matter what a teen girl wears - to a certain subset of men, she is going to be a sexual object. Schoolgirl uniforms are sexualized, but so are nuns habits, pigtails, and yoga pants - not because there is anything inherently sexual about…
Having a camera and being able to point the lens at things does not make you a professional photographer. It makes you a person holding a camera.
She’s truthful, thoughtful, and woke as fuck.
As clumsy as it was, I too, think this was her real point. You have the right to wear whatever you want, and you should be able to wear whatever you want. However people are stupid, shitty, and not all are taught to control themselves and behave like civilized human being, so be prepared for any reaction you get.
I’m pretty sure dudes are gonna get ideas no matter how long/short girls skirts are. I refuse to be held responsible for other people’s thoughts, I don’t always like being responsible for my own. I most definitely will not accept responsibility for anyone else’s actions .
From what you’re saying, it appears you’d like the party to operate as a pure democracy. I understand that impulse. I also think that it is fundamentally incompatible with party politics, since parties exist to aggregate support from groups of like-minded but not identical voters. Also, purely democratic systems of…
It all comes across as making excuses for why this candidate isn’t dominating in the primaries like many die hard supporters feel he should be. The mental gymnastics some have done to come to the conclusion that Bernie needs to be the candidate despite the will of the people voting in primaries is mind boggling.
Are... are you saying Bernie Sanders The Infallible is an actual politician who changed his ideals when it best benefited him?
As a Democrat, am I not also the political party?
I really, REALLY don’t understand the misogynistic shit that I’m seeing from Bernie supporters. I voted for Bernie in my state because his policies are most in line with mine, but you bet your ass I’d vote for Hillary if she wins the primaries.
The John Edwards hypothetical was a good one, I thought. Lots of people liked John Edwards. He seemed like a normal person. He had nice hair and a strangely dead-eyed Tom Cruise smile. A PERFECT CANDIDATE.
Not many Bernie supporters like to talk about the fact that his ratio of delegates is actually higher than the ratio of the votes he has received.
The reason to have them is shown quite clearly on the Republican side. If Trump had decided to run as a Democrat, and was leading right now, we’d all be just fine with the idea that Hillary had been smart enough to lock up most of the super delegates early on.
This is the Bernie Bro phenomenon in a nutshell: a good-enough idea (pointing out the superdelegate system is fundamentally undemocratic) runs into an obnoxious social media tactic, helmed by someone who seems like a bit of a dick.
I think it’s fair to note that Sanders didn’t join the Democratic Party until 2015, prior to that he served as a longtime independent.
That Crime Bill that Bernie voted for?
Yes, I call a misinterpretation a misinterpretation. Here's a good explanation of the actual history for those who don't actually remember the 1990s. http://www.mediaite.com/online/ben-jea…
When the vast majority of Bernie's base hasn't even lived that many years, it'd be a little like constantly reminding them that they used to shit their pants on a regular basis.
Protests based on a misinterpretation of a speech from 21 years ago which she’s since repudiated, as opposed to protesting people who are the actual problem. OK then.
