Hot Doug’s in Chicago had a duck sausage with pate in a hot dog bun. Very yummy. They closed a few years back, though.
“I Am Not Okay With This” 7 episodes, 1 Season, alas.
My favorite is the person that looks at their phone the entire time they’re standing in line, and then can’t decide what to order when their turn comes.
USB Toaster is the best toaster.
My grandmother drank only instant coffee, because she liked her coffee boiling hot.
Practice the “Pinter Pause” so you can make everyone uncomfortable. :)
Interestingly enough, I went to a trial with an attorney who was such a smooth, accomplished public speaker that it almost verged into snake oil. He definitely made opposing counsel sound like an idiot in contrast, though. We won the case but it was bench trial not a jury trial.
You just gotta start them early.
The Breakfast Club sandwich - white bread, wheat bread, butter, Pixy Stix, and a whole lot of Cap’n Crunch cereal.
My first thought when I saw those was “Mods or Rockers?” and then I realized of course they’re Mods - because of the modifications. And look at all those mirrors on the one scooter. They should have played “My Generation” during the chase scene.
The ones I’ve had in Chicago were really good. The consistency of the dough is somewhere between a donut and a roll, and they weren’t nearly as sweet as a donut. So good. But I don’t live near a bakery, so I haven’t had one like that in a long time.
It had to be Mordin. Someone else might have got it wrong.
Wait, what happened to denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance? ;)
Bring back the McDLT. Back in the ‘80s the McDLT was a good burger. The packaging was gimmicky, but it was a solid cheeseburger.
Looks really good. You should give shortbread a try and discover a new level of sticky dough. Then move up to rugelach. :)
If you have money to spend, go with some top end caviar, crème fraiche, and blini. There are places online that sell it all together in one package with optional mother of pearl spoon. Spend what you can afford.
That first hot toddy looks good. I have some Old Tom gin I used for tasty Tom Collins this past summer, so I may have to make a Hot Toddy.
My grandmother only drank instant, because she liked her coffee HOT. Coffee makers just didn’t get it hot enough. And you can use instant coffee in certain baking recipes.
