the rest of the country is sprawling because when they should have been building both subways and highways, they only built highways.

Step 1: stop building new highways that are almost universally unneeded, and take up more than half of US surface transportation funding.
The problem is that the $30 billion represents money they didn’t spend over the course of decades, likely going back to WWII. It’s the same story just about everywhere in the US, for the amount of money it would take to repair the systems today, they could have built an amazing system during the postwar boom. Instead…
my brother had a 1800es for a few years. Unfortunately he couldn’t take it to college and it fell into disrepair
so that hinge, it doesn’t let the monitor close flush to the keyboard? that seems to just invite death by crushing inside a bag.
they’ve generally been good with the Ideas/Cuusoo sets, but just in case: please don’t be stickers.
Hopefully they make a surface pro the size of the current surface 3, with USB or USB-C charging. I’ve been leaning toward the surface 3 because it has universal charging and fits in “ipad” pockets, but would prefer pro features.
Careful about apps that “exist”. Many apps in the Windows store or extremely limited compared to their ios/android versions. In frequent cases, you’ll basically be stepping back in time 2+ years, especially for facebook. And with the exception of Instagram, there really aren’t that many good 3rd party substitutes.
I agree. Switzerland accomplishes this by mandatory military service, stringent registration, and unobtainable ammo. So I take it you are advocating all 3 for the United States?
narrow sidewalks next to busy streets are still pretty inhospitable to people.
because they can’t plan ahead and order extra before the cars are blocked. or set it up so that deliveries can happen before 10 AM, but then the street has to be clear.
But it’s great for businesses that rely on foot traffic and neighborhood customers.
probably not. That bus can carry a couple dozen people, it might get automated, but it would take a huge number of little pods to replace just one line’s buses.
any word on differences between versions? I have a 360 and a PS3, is it worth holding out and getting this along with an Xbone or PS4 on black friday?
started binging on this recently when the netflix ads for season 4 showed up. I think I like it, but i don’t really know what to make of it. The serial/meta plot is really interesting, but frequently the obligatory CBS procedural garbage is just painful.
It doesn’t necessarily take away the buzzer beater. I’ve seen plenty of soccer games where the attacking team is pressing like crazy, because not only do they need the goal, but if they give up possession, the whistle will blow.
gotta disagree on the best bench ranking.
at this point its almost like my tablet is just my backup for when my phone is charging.
And then in their late 50s it catches up with them real fast, and by their 60s they look like a mummy.
I think that’s where Rowe is very right. My problem is that he tries to link that to the troubles manufacturers in states like Alabama and Arkansas have attracting workers. But he never gets into the pay situation. Damn straight, if I can pick up odd jobs and make $150 a day, I’m not going to drop that to work at some…
