This is so so true. I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old and my brain is no longer what it was. But I remember how it use to be, so it can be frustrating.

This is half the reason new parents lose 1/3 to 1/4 of their brain function - the other half being flooded with a staggering amounts of hormones to keep you from strangling the thing keeping you from sleeping.

To be fair, I knew nothing about this movie before the Oscars. I had seen previews for it, and my movie-buff friend described it as a “Lifetime movie to make white people feel good about themselves” so I didn’t watch it.

For Nixon, it started with Dean explaining clearly and lucidly on TV what the crime was, and then the release of the tapes proving with the President’s own words that what Dean said was true.

Yeah, I just use Rotten Tomatoes as a general “Can I see this in the theater?” guide. Shit is expensive, and I already have a nice home theater system that is good enough for most movies. If it is sub 40% for a genre movie its a hard pass from me and I’ll just catch it on cable. Never payed attention to user reviews.

Real winner and should have been nominated:
