Yeah, they still aren't Toyota, but nobody could stay in business building cars as badly as VW was ten years ago.

You owe yourself a test drive then. I recommend a diesel Passat manual.
What modern diesels have you driven?
What years were those cars? I certainly recall how bad Audi and VW got in the early 2000s... VW still needs to improve but it is not so much worse than GM and the like any more.
A3 TDI sedan (automatic only) incoming. Or so Audi says.
In about 12-18 months, unless I get distracted and buy a BRZ.
All the "MQB" cars are haldex when AWD. Over at Audi quattro has just been another word for Four since they started selling the A3 quattro.
"Golf Variant" "Golf Estate" etc etc
Ohhh "six seed." My mind snuck the Ps back in so I didn't notice. :)
Not an A4. It's on the MQB platform - Golf, Jetta, A3, TT, Sportwagen
Why do you think it is underpowered? Perhaps you haven't driven a modern diesel?
They make 'em they just wont sell 'em to us.
jalop1991 is trolling. Modern diesels are fun because they have so much low-end torque. It also happens they are fuel efficient, especially for highway driving, but that's just a bonus if you already want the car.
What you talkin' about, Willis?
Oh go on, what happens to 2-3 year old VWs?
Just us auto blog readers.
I am sure we will see Diesel Sportwagens and Manual Sportwagens and AWD Sportwagens and Manual Diesel Sportwagens, but I will believe the Manual Diesel AWD Sportwagen news when I can put it on an order sheet.
Even parking a TT next to a Miata is striking. The TT is one high-walled bathtub.
Yes, yes, but is the world ready for a tank with a 10 mile operating range that can't be refueled in the field?
Does CVT count?
