I know I shouldn’t admit to this given that Google is expressly evil now, but I far prefer it to Apple Maps -- even if both are tracking me in the very same ways.

Watched it this morning and, gotta say while I love the TNG-era continuation, there was nary a laugh to be found... which is death for a comedy. I felt like all the characters did was yell and scream at each other - which, to be fair, is what most cartoons are like nowadays.

Was very surprised by the fact that on AppleTV, with the remote I love to hate, I could not fast forward/reverse 10secs. (using the upper left & right corners of the remote’s touchpad) nor could I move the UI while watching to do anything other than pause; meaning, I could not “scroll” down to turn on captions.

I looked at ordering one but the level of consumer complaints on their campaign page (which, AFAIK, is the only place to order) about order delays and damaged-on-arrival units. It would appear to be the perfect solution for me but I’m worried to say the least.

They may have costume design down, but they sure as hell didn’t know how to effectively introduce her character. They shot a close-up as she takes her helmet off and literally the whole theatre went, “Wait. Who’s that?!”

It was my understanding that they did get her to do a phonetic recoding of the computer voice. I wonder where or if anyone even still has the files. Par can be cruel when it comes to Trek. They’ve thrown out a lot of screen history over the years.

I will laugh my proverbial ass off if, after all this hootin’ n’ hollerin’, Zack Synder’s Justice League is no better than Joss’ cobbled together version - which, while itself no masterpiece, at least it tells a story which fits in with BvS and WW movies.

The biggest head scratcher for me is why are CBSAA movies rotated? (Titles are added and then disappear/retired on a regular basis.) Why not just add to the library and keep them on the service so there is more variety to choose from?

That music in the trailer is tight!

I watched this new season opener after having watched most of the first 2-3 seasons regularly (not religiously). I have to say the amount of faith the Empire puts into droids is just stupid as the Rebels/Resistance always mop the floor with them. It’s kinda dumb now.

This series is an incredible misfire for me. I found it unwatchable after trying very hard to find something redeeming after its first two episodes.

So much of this movie required an additional two hour explanation in addition to tidbits dropped by the novelization (this Pappa Palpatine was a clone!) it begs the question: Why wasn’t all of this in the movie?
