The creationists did have equal time. They had that whole Bible mini-series on History Channel. That History calls anything biblical historical is depressing enough, but the creationists had their shot.
This episode was the best of the series (at least thusfar) - I totally took an emotional punch at the last scene. NdGT's narration was beautiful. The religious nuts can eat a bag of shit. This show is fine as-is - although I do miss the Vangellis.
And, even more sadly, the world has apparently not learned any lessons from how that war started 100 years ago. It's certainly not beyond us to "go once more unto the breach."

I'm no expert, but this kind of thing certainly seems to imply that the universe as we know it is actually artificial or simulated, and only really exists within the experience of an observer or observers.
