There are only 43 days left in the election cycle, but it’s not like after that we are going to magically transform into a country that gives a shit about sexual assault.

I don’t know any women who haven’t experienced some form of sexual assault or harassment. I’m so in awe of the bravery of those who have come forward and I hope that it empowers other women to do the same or at least to realize that they are not alone.

That’s a fair point, though setting aside a referendum would be a total disaster that would result in a much worse outcome, namely many more British people than were already in favor of Brexit getting pissed that Parliament is setting aside a referendum.

Actually the referendum was not legally binding so the government could have (& still could) set aside the result and not done anything. Of course, while that would have been perfectly legal it would’ve been political suicide to do.
