The lack of avaliable api’s to enable what people are asking Spotify to do. The only api I could find that Apple enabled with this past OS upgrade was one to allow background music to play.

I’m an Apple fan myself. Just believe that they should be called out when they go a bit to far with their closed walled world. 

The api’s that Apple released with the last OS from what I can tell look to be pretty limited which is probably why there are limitations to what they can do with the app. I don’t have dev access, so I can’t say for certain.
