Yup, Bulleit is a fine rye as well. I like their bourbon too.

Rittenhouse is my favorite cheap rye, if you like Overholt you should give it a try. Hell, it's one of the best rye's in any price range.

I just bought a 43" Samsung plasma for $380, cheap and brand name, best of both worlds! I've heard that the cheap brands tend to have more reliability issues ... Meanwhile I've had our other tv, a Samsung LCD for over 5 years with zero problems. Anecdotal, yes, but that's my 2 cents.

W.L. Weller is a fine cheap bourbon, albeit maybe not quite in the price range for this article ... I think the last time I bought a bottle is was $17. I have seen posts online where folks got it in the $10-$16 range.

I generally don't clear mine (Chrome) because it's nice to have in there for possible future reference, across all my devices where I'm logged into Chrome. If I'm trying to remember some article I read on a website a couple months ago, I can generally start typing in the website name or the subject of the article and

My wife read Hunger Games a few years back and has since torn through all the YA dystopian books she can find. She never was really into scifi/fantasy novels before that. I guess it just speaks to some people. I think she likes the general plot/character structures of most of the books, and the YA aspect makes it

Oh I've read it a few times (along w/ much of Sagan's work) ... definitely much better than the movie, but I still enjoy the movie for what it is.

Seriously ... here in Colorado so many 17 year old snowboarder brah's swagged out in all the fashionable gear, bombing up i-70 in their obnoxious v8 SUV that daddy bought (nope, I'm not jealous that I can only go 55-60 mph up the hill in my humble v4).

Despite its flaws, I love Contact, and thought it ends in a good place .... but part of me has always wanted to see what kind of events could unfold after the initial contact...

It'd be nice (across the whole Kinja network) to somehow have newer comments show up on articles like this that are ongoing and periodically reposted, especially over the span of multiple years.

Woah iriver ... haven't heard that name in a while. They made my first mp3 player!

Fair enough, it is ultimately up to the prof. But in this case you'd think the student, professor and administration could have worked something out, especially since the student apparently was doing well in the course despite her absences.

She doesn't come to class and she should be able to pass? Come now.

Wrong equivalency. It's more like buying a wifi-only iPad and then Apple charging you an annual fee to use Netflix etc. I guess I get having a fee to access MS servers for games ... but for third party streaming apps? Seems stupid to me.

I'm kindof in the same boat - I bought a PS3 two months ago.

I'd hold off on 4k and get a Panasonic plasma instead (ST60), as they're widely regarded as the best tvs on the market now and are stopping production soon. Plus they often can be found for relatively cheap compared to comprable LED sets (60" is sub-$1500 now for example):
