Bake and mash them or boil and puree them and freeze them, then use the puree for sweet potato quick bread or sweet potato pie if you're into that kind of thing. The only way I can eat them is in dessert applications. Sweet potato quick bread is pretty awesome.

My mother always used hydrogen peroxide on period stained undies and washed as usual and it took stains right out. Admittedly though I am not a laundry expert so I don't know how good or bad an idea using it is. I just know it takes blood stains out of everything I've ever used it on.
