An 18 year old is a pre-med student in the same sense that a 6 year old is an aspiring astronaut.

I have seldom left my home since March, turned retirement savings into groceries and watched my remaining marbles roll out of my skull in continuing isolation.

Absolutely. I firmly believe there are more like him out there and part of the key to unleashing them is moving some of the dead wood from up top. There is hope if we unleash the young and unafraid talent that’s ready to do what has to be done and aren’t already beholden to old money. Seeing him, Porter, AOC, and

So, your choices are “change the DEMs from within” or “settle in for 40 years of uninterrupted GOP rule”. If you think that your marginalized communities have it rough now, it can get worse.

I would disagree with your assertion that the US doesn’t have a left.. it does.. but its a left without much of a voice.. (that’s being overshadowed by the right and the centrists trying to appeal to the right)..

Here’s an idea: all body cam footage - from every police force in the country employing body cams - should be uploaded directly from the cameras to the cloud at regular, randomly-determined intervals throughout the day, and instantly accessible (and regularly reviewed) by independent local public watchdog groups.

This asshole is why I prefer my Five-Seven with legal cop killer bullets as my carry pistol. I wonder how many cops joined the IRA and ISIS when they were at their height.

I was very fortunate to be able to protest without getting caught up in these violent confrontations with the cops. My head can’t take another baton strike. But watching my fellow Bostonians ruthlessly attacked by militarized cops was painful to take in.

Bullies are snowflakes and cops are bullies. There are no good cops here. A good cop, a decent person would arrest the criminals that infest their ranks.

Disgusting pigs, that flip flop story changing video should be on repeat on billboards across the country with a huge sized transcription. Protect and serve my ass.

I was thinking my favorite bully Katie Porter:

Because his advisors are fat cat businessmen. Who told him that the relief being paid out under the CARES act was actually higher than they were paying the workers they had been forced to lay off under shut down guidelines, so these people were better off staying home and trying to stay healthy.

Hell yeah this is bullshit. Pay the people directly. So many corporate pockets have been lined by the previous “relief package.” Here’s some rough math for direct handouts to all 129 million US households, regardless of need. Take the $2.2 trillion from the package in April (about $380 billion of which has not been

I’m as pissed as you! Why can’t the Fed just continue each state’s unemployment until Covid numbers reach a reasonable number? That wouldn’t de-incentivize people to work (cuz U is never that much), would encourage people to stay home to prevent the spread AND would prop up the economy before full collapse. What is so

And that is some bullshit as well.  If the government would have given everyone the 1200 to 2000 a month since the beginning, the economy would not have tanked, rent would have been paid, and maybe people would have stayed the fuck home.

Hot Take Alert: If Trump and his people were halfway competent, they would have gotten the Senate to make a deal on Covid financial assistance back in July. Regular stimulus checks, unemployment bonuses to the end of the year, and more protection from debt collectors, evictions, and for small businesses, and Trump

Ironically enough, the article I read in Politico this week mentioned that was one of the things holding this up from going through; the Republicans didn’t want “people who were working or didn’t need the money to get it”, so they’d rather hold up the entire process for those that do need it.

So the current package is supposed to be around $900 billion. “Every” person is getting $600. $600 multiplied by around 330 million people is $198 billion, and that includes kids who ain’t getting squat. Where’s the other $702 billion dollars going?

I still don’t get what all the talk is about. $600, $1200, sure, a lot of people need money. But let’s be real honest for a minute here.
