I come here because of the non-sports content. American sports aren’t interesting enough to sustain my readership; the mix of politics and other stories is what attracted me about this site.
Well, it would be nice for these things to be driven by people who know how to drive... the ones in my neighbourhood are seriously hazardous on the road (and haven’t seen even as much off-road as my Hyundai FWD shitbox hatch).
So, easy solution - make it that a tackle doesn’t count unless the tackled player is wrapped up and brought to ground in contact with the tackler, as rugby union and rugby league do it. If you can’t just knock a guy down, there’s no value in leading with the helmet.
Getting your head in front of the tackler seems dangerous. I played a lot of rugby (no hard helmet or pads, and you have to wrap), and we were drilled extensively on getting the head BEHIND the man. I only got it wrong a couple of times, and those were... concussing. Putting the head in the direction of run is asking…
I know a Filipino woman who is ultra-Christian, and supports Duterte. There must be some cognitive dissonance in living by “thou shalt not kill” and then supporting an enthusiastic killer, but she doesn’t seem to have any.

I would’ve loved to have seen these women laugh at Trump and say things like “What, you want me to go back to Cincinnati, Ohio? Sure!”. His racist bullshit should be called out, but as it’s a deliberate campaign tactic by him, ridicule may work better to counter it.
If I was a believer, I would 100% be claiming evolution as God’s design! A god that can design a self-replicating and evolving complex system that starts with almost nothing and ends up billions of years later with the desired output is a much greater god than one that has to design everything individually.
