I got their email yesterday and absolutely love what I’ve seen so far. I was a big fan of the Ace, and this thing fills a void in my life I did not know I had. If they can keep the price to their projected estimate, and they manage to build these things, the Jax might just make onto my driveway.

Not to mention that once you turn off the gas burner (after using it for less time), the heat source is gone (except the small surface area of the grate). Turn off a coil or halogen burner and it’s still putting out heat 20 minutes later. 

That’s hardly a balanced comparison. An “appliance white” range built on hundred year old technology, at the low end of the quality/feature scale is certainly going to be cheaper than a newly adopted technology (even though it’s almost as old as gas). I keep thinking about this as a way to try it. Is there a particular wattage range I should look at? I’m sure higher is “better”, but I’m just starting to dig into the research.

Maybe aesthetically, but the S mops the floor with the Taycan when it comes to getting further. While not as visually appealing as the Porsche, I’d pick the Tesla every time because of the range.

I mostly agree. I really didn’t want to like this thing, but I can’t help myself. I don’t think it’ll have any appreciable impact on the Cybertruck since it’s just over half the price, and I also kind of like.
