I have to admit, I have never seen anything a heinous as a made up “VSA” fee of $3500. That is absurd. But this does remind of the time my friend went to go buy a brand new Subaru BRZ. Eventually, the out the door cost (including Tax) of the car was 30 grand, which wasn’t too bad for a really well optioned one.
Hehehe, thanks, that’s what I was going for!
Hi Tom. I hope this comment finds you well. I pray it is not too long, however, as Quasisellar pointed out, your article is exceptionally long as well, so I hope you will take the time to read my comment; I know I had fun reading your article.
“Let’s see how those fuckers in Iowa and Company feel about us“liberal elites” in states like California and New York once we take 20% of the economy with us.”
The Confederates wanted to draw themselves into a cocoon so they could enslave and exploit people. The blue state secessionists want to draw themselves into a cocoon so they can ignore the exploited people of America.
Oh man. I’ve been out of the Honda Game for so long. I mainly roll Nissan and classic American now. But a couple sources I used back in the day:
I feel your pain. Years ago, I found the cheapest running 69 Charger in the country at the time. I bought it praying it would be fine. It ran. Then it ran rough. The six pack setup on it was definitely not tuned and once I pulled them apart, it became clear the carburetors were actually pretty trashed.
At first glance in the title picture, I thought you were using C-clamps as a micrometer :P
Years ago, I was building a DC2. My plan was to take one, throw the JDM front end on it, BAR in a K20A2 to make it 50 state legal, and do a DC5 Type-R strut conversion to get a 5 lug hub and the DC5 brembo brakes. My thought was that it would then be the perfect Japanese FWD naturally aspirated 4 cylinder.
Snap.
Honestly, I don’t get the whole Kei... thing.
Only if you slap some rims on it and an exhaust.
I kind of figured someone would make this comment and I actually thought about adding an exception statement but I decided to keep it short instead, because a concise statement is generally funnier than one that reads like a legal document. But, I guess now I will go ahead and further explain a statement designed to…
Someone who bought a Scion that wasn’t an FR-S.
My personal favorite is an SN-95 II (99-04) Mustang with a 5.0 badge from an S-197 II Mustang. Best part? It’s a V6.
$50k MSRP. Even at 20% off, that is 40 grand. I really don’t think the two extra doors on what looks like a V8 equipped Malibu is worth the extra money; a fifth generation Camaro, equipped with the same drivetrain, cost like 36 grand. So the 4 grand, formerly 14 grand, markup up for rear doors seems silly.
Guess who will get the call when it breaks down?
they want to be seen “making sensible choices, buying a reliable car”
Or, in one particular case, they buy a car you told them to absolutely NOT buy because of x, y, and z, and then, in a year when it breaks, they say “Man, I really wish you told us about all these potential problem.”
