Ya, as I admitted, I understand he was talking about the older ones. But that is what pains me about Honda: A later prelude is the target they SHOULD be going for, in terms of fun. Instead, the best they can do for fun factor is comparable to a 30 year old car that was kind of OK.

This Civic certainly seems to be an improvement over the last one, but I take issue with comparing it to a Prelude. Now I know you mentioned the earlier models, but I use to have a 1998 Prelude SH, so that is where my baseline lies.

Book-smart is giving them too much credit.

It’s different because lawmakers often do not understand the subjects of which they are making laws about. This is especially true in emerging technologies, which paves the way for potentially abusive lobbying. Add in any number of potential kick backs and general shadiness, and you get a huge mess.

I remember that Automaker’s DMCA claim fiasco last year. I was really happy that one of my cars, a 1969 Dodge Charger, had absolutely no computers of any kind and, therefore, had zero relevance to Digital Copyright.

I see it looks like you snapped some internal bracketing on the clutch...

Ya? Well the hub/spindle on my M1 Abrams calls for eleventy bajillion ft/lbs!!!!!

It’s not broken, it’s just Hellaflush!

It is not 100% flush, but it does look like it should have cleared as the notch section of the spindle is thinner than the rest of the spindle. But cannot be 100% sure.

If I made this game... and made bank off it... would you sue me???

In general, I am not a fan of the over-connected-ness of cars today. And I sure as hell do not like the idea of OnStar like systems or black boxes storing and possibly even transmitting all manner of data. The reason is because that data can, quite simply, be misused, particularly in court:

I am right there with you. I bought a ridiculously high mileage 03 Acura RSX Type-S with crap paint because those are the cars my friends and I grew up driving. Now, in today’s used car market, I think I am definitely looking at taking a loss. Car runs great though!

I have to say, as horrible as this is to happen to anyone, I am happy it happened to these people rather than anyone else, but not for the reasons you think.

You are right. Wasting money won’t solve anything. Instead, let’s fire everyone involved in the seizure and hire new, not corrupt officers.

If this data’s reflective of the norm—and being a relatively small sample that’s somewhat debatable—my guess would be that the “standby” Honda and Toyotas are more money than most self-funded first car buyer have to spend, but not appealing to the potential enthusiasts who save up for something with a better

Thank you so much for taking those cases. I am happy to hear the victims of this legislation being compensated. And yes, I always thought that law sounded all manner of unconstitutional. Thanks for clearing up why it is still on the books!

All these fancy shifters and electronic parking brakes are moronic. There is no realistic need for these “improvements”, they were made just to be “fancy.” And looks like one of them got someone killed.

I actually looked at jeeps about a year ago for my girlfriend. After driving both a 2014 Grand Cherokee with this stupid shifter and a 2012 with a normal shifter, I told her she had to get one of the earlier models. After driving the newer model, I felt that shifter was one of the stupidest designs I had ever seen.

We admittedly do not know all the facts. While this incident may be minor, the Police Department may be using it as a means to stop a group of people who legitimately do drive recklessly together on a routine basis. And while still a little sketchy, throwing the book at them for a minor incident makes sense in the
