Your comment reminds me of what a wildly diverse team the first Gen X was as well. In the days before Marvel was intentionally trying to diversify you had multiple minority characters, female characters in leadership positions and a Muslim character whos central character trait wasn’t being Muslim.

Bling is black, Nature Girl is Chinese, Jubilee is Chinese, the new guy with the gloves is half Korean.

And Bling and Ben Deeds are both LGBT, so that’s cool too.
