100% agree. This is the can of worms you open when you start expanding the world—there are stakes to consider and implement. Still, I try to give that outside perspective some pass, if only because Evil Dead has been so carefree and frivolous with that stuff in the past.

I did end up watching the next two episodes after this, and, yes, it does get pretty crazy and exciting. But yeah, I just wasn’t feeling this episode. I thought everything with Brandy was essential to the season here. The relationship between her and Ash is arguably the biggest turn, and I loved seeing the stages of fury she went through towards the guy.
