I should've guessed! You're always the odds on favorite to make a good pun thread.

I thought Burger King couldn't make a less appetizing Whopper-based item than that burger with the black bun. They've truly outdone themselves!

I'm in a state of fear as to how this'll turn out.

Doesn't the schlami show up to rub it and spin on it?

"I CAN'T FEEL! IT'S A VERY RARE DISEASE, ALL MY SE—ALL MY NERVES, THEY DON'T ALLOW FOR THE SENSATION OF TOUCH! I NEVER KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON! AM I STANDING? SITTING? I DON'T KNOW!"

That's true, he would never stoop to that level—no matter how angry he got. If only we could ask him. But since we love him, we chose to leave. I guess we'll never really know.

Maybe I partly misinterpreted your statement that the "only time" people confronted real-world issues was through a comedic lens. Surely in this day and age, that's probably the most popular way that people do. (Through social media as well, but that's a different discussion.) Regardless, humor and satire will always

That first exchange you mentioned is a hilarious departure from the beginning, when Rick's the one happily shooting everyone.

I see some point in what you're saying, that it would be better if people paid more attention to serious topics facing the modern world. But as to your belief that "it sucks" when people engage in a serious topic through a comedic or ironic lens…I have to disagree. Some of the best commentary on political situations

My bad, that was my dyslexia showing through. Thought you'd said the exact opposite (web shorts—bad, show—good). I'll definitely check them out, I'm missing "China, IL." My apologies!

I've never seen the web shorts, just the three seasons' worth of the regular episodes. Sounds like I'm not missing much, though.

A Plumbus? I heard they're really hard to make.

That's as much as three crushed red party cups!

I think the beauty of the show, though, is that it can take on those types of subjects in a humorous way, while at the same time not coming off as preachy.

True. There was also Morty jeopardizing the "Anatomy Park" mission by trying to get it on with Annie. Morty's libido has been more destructive than I thought…

You can only defeat an evil empire with an even more evil empire. Everyone knows this.

I never thought it was one of the true greats, in terms of animated comedies. But "China, IL" was still a solid show, and funny as hell. That pilot episode though is a classic. I still laugh every time I hear little Steve's Reagan impression: https://www.youtube.com/wat…. "Well, I like to kiss butts. And I love to

On a side note, one of the best Reagan references/appearances was in another Adult Swim series "China, IL," when a time-traveling Reagan (don't ask) gets commentary on his political philosophies from one of the main characters. "That trickle-down bullshit? I mean, there's no way you thought that was good for anybody."

You know, you've got a point. Maybe "that Walton Goggins movie (where he shows up for, like, five minutes)" would've been a better choice.

First it was Jessica while Rick was slowly dying in a vat, and now this. I fear for Rick's life the next time Morty has the hots for a teenage girl. Will nothing stand in the way of his pubescent sex drive?
