Hi, Rohan. I miss you. If it weren’t for those photos of you in a Heat jersey that are all over the Net, I don’t know how I’d get by. Thanks for checking in.

Is it just me or does it look like the shark’s tail sucker punches him right at the end? I wish didn't wouldn't have laughed at that...

My wife started surfing about five years ago, went to a little week-long surf camp thing to learn. The last day, they were all on the beach doing their group high five before paddling out when there was some commotion just off shore... which turned out to be one big-ass great white chomping a baby seal. Last day of Read more

“They should make avoiding urine tosses part of the competition every year. Maybe then people would watch.” I admit it, I would.

This is not true. Yes, half of the half million plus hispanic population is Cuban. The second largest groups, however, are the Colombian and Central American populations, where soccer is king. There is a very significant Peruvian and Argentinian and Venezuelan populations as well. Then, there is the very robust Read more

If you have family in Europe Mikhail Prokhorov can still make an offer that you can’t refuse.

Djokovic won the first set, Federer won the second set. The fact that both sets went to tiebreaks with each of them winning one each shows that they were definitely very tightly contested.

You know what’s crazy? As much as the prize money has ballooned in the past few years, Federer won more today as a runner-up than he did in any of his Wimbledon wins except 2012.

Ah that must be what they were talking about when they were going off about some roddick thing, makes sense. I guess I can give him a small pass for that because Roddick has always kind of seemed like a jerk to me. I doubt Federer would have done that to Rafa, Murray or Novak ever, in fact i’m sure of it.

Probably the first time in a long time I’ve wanted to see him win, and he didn’t. :( If Federer was often to emotionally detached from his career, then Djokovic has been too much of a clown too often for me to enjoy him. Read more

The fundamental match-up problem is Djokovic’s phenomenal return of serve. Fed’s serve is still outstanding, and at this point of his career, success hinges on winning some easy points from it. He hit a lot of serves today that would be winners against anyone else, but not Nolo. Over the course of the match, this wore Read more

He’s only so successful because he’s built like a man.

He looked really great out there today, especially on serve. He just had a lot of unforced errors. Dropped a lot of shots into the net, especially off the backhand.

7-6 (7-1), 6-7 (12-10), 6-4, 6-3

That score alone tells the story of a great player just running out of steam.

The rain delay seemed to put Roger out of sync, and that sucks. I understand it’s an outdoor sport, but I think it was a little shitty that they couldn’t close the roof for such an important match.

That was when a frustrated Novak tried to rip his shirt, but failed and had to take it off the old fashioned way. Shoutouts to Uniqlo™!
