I am now ready for “The Lake”.  I want a monster movie with practical effects.  And they described the monster as a “maniac beast” meaning that it is not just a monster but it is a mentally-ill monster.

I feel like there are about five characters from Big Trouble In Little China that should be on this list: Wang Chi, Egg Shen, any of the Three Thunders or even Gracie Law.

Yeah.  I have to say in total fairness that leaned into the weird much harder that I would have expected.  I might have to find that one.

Still haven’t seen the Venture Bros. movie, which is good, since I don’t want to have to BURN DOWN THE WHOLE WORLD.

“African neo-western horror”?  Ahem.  Fuck yes.

Didn’t Tom Swift get cancelled already?  Are they just burning the last episodes?

I have been contending for literally years that this movie is never going to come out.  I figured it was going to be due to script and director difficulties.  I hadn’t really imagined that it was going to be because their main actor flipped their shit.

Well, that looks pretty rad.  And I really like the Comanche option.

I am total sucker for ancient crypts underground with legendary monsters in them.  Bring it on.  And giant snakes in the jungle, well it probably won’t be the masterpiece that Anaconda was, but sounds good.  And I see The Devil’s Hour is continuing the trend of pop songs played really slow so they sound sad.  Gotta go…

I need to go buy this 4K remaster.  My kids should see this fantastic movie.

Man, I read a shit ton of Tom Swift growing up, but they were all Cold War novels against evil Eastern Europeans.  And I read some of the originals where Tom invents a car or a boat or a super cannon.  Seems to have moved on a bit.  I might watch one for my childhood.
