As another musical theater fan, it is a technically brilliant work. LMM carries themes and leitmotifs across half a dozen musical styles. There’s multiple layers of wordplay in the lyrics. He’s managed to make a cabinet meeting about government finances entertaining.

Plus I think that LMM is more social media savvy than a lot of people out there, and people flock to his charm.

It’s fine...it’ll be fine...I’ll be okay...I...I...

As someone who IS into both musical theater AND Hamilton I think it is a combination of factors. One, it is musically a super high energy show, no super slow sad numbers. The rap is accessible even to people who aren’t into rap. There are also none of the Disney Princess soprano songs or super jazz handy songs

Just think of them as vintage GIFs.

That’s a really unflattering picture of Mr. Dixon. Here, let me help:

Orlando is one of my favorite books. In light of this, I think I’ll read it again. It was also the first Virginia Woolf I read, and (at the time) I was a little disappointed to find she never wrote anything else quite like it!

Spiteful people are the worst. The fact that she was willing to kill her daughters out of spite is scary as fuck.

They make suicide more dangerous. Suicidal people are more likely to try and go through with it if there is a gun in the house.

In their final moments on earth, these poor girls were fully aware that their own mother was going to blow them away just to spite their father. On his birthday.

Yes, we can apply it to a lot of things. “Everyone is a responsible banana eater until suddenly they aren’t.”

Everyone is a responsible gun owner until, you know, suddenly they aren’t.

I know this is overused, but I’m not joking...comments on this article are giving me life. I’m tired from the struggle. Fighting privatization is discouraging. Knowing that other people know and care about these issues- other teachers, parents, and people in the community- it means a lot.

Related: recent NYT article that makes clear the mess “charterization” has added to the shameful state of public education in Detroit.

I support BLM, and he has done great work on that front, but I do not agree with Mckesson on education policy.

“Human capitol?” That just sounds like some creepy soylent green shit.

I have no idea about their realness but I do know the coliseum is just about the least romantic place I’ve ever been.

I’m still sad Lord&Taylor didn’t catch on.

I like Swiffidle

I’m in Rome too right now! Tom and Taylor looked so cute at this authentic pizza place we were at. I know it’s an invasion of privacy...but I snapped a quick pic of Taylor! It’s crazy how REAL they are-just like us. And guys...so in love. Look at Taylor’s smile : )
