The reason they’re not enforced is because they’re not for frivolity. They’re for intentional misuse of 911. You can’t really prosecute someone unless you can prove they knew the 911 call was improper.

One of the best examples I’ve ever seen of this phenomenon was sitting in a $36k Malibu at the auto show this year....and then sitting in a $36k Mazda 6. I know it’s not the luxury segment but it was INSANE to me that GM can still put shit like that on the market in 2018. There was no comparison. The Mazda looked $20k

It’s genuinely amazing to me that

I have to assume this is a sarcastic post. No way you can be serious.

Except that it isn’t. Not that I agree with what happened here but the detention was not “punitive”. The 8th Amendment applies to sentences applied after conviction.

Most stolen vehicles ARE stolen for components. A chopped car is worth 2-3 times it’s intact value.

Bonus points if they paint the road surface orange like a Hot Wheels track.

It takes time to build boost.

+1. My first car was a ‘98 V6. It was, objectively, not a good car but I always loved the look of that body style, especially in Saleen or Cobra trim.

Is not in some states. NY requires the vehicle to be in motion for the act of using an electronic device to be a violation.

Well, your point is, as you said, true of all labor unions but the difficulty in getting rid of union employees is sometimes well founded. The entire REASON for labor unions is to protect the workers. Police unions are very vocal in furtherance of their agenda but again, thats often necessary.

The Union’s job is to protect its members. They usually do this by providing attorneys for officers accused of wrongdoing. The important thing to remember is that the union doesn’t KNOW whether allegations of misconduct are true.

I don’t think you actually know what Police unions do. While they are (like all labor unions) political animals, the unions are not pushing their members to lock up innocent people for non-existent crimes.

The first part of that assertion isn’t true and the second part would make perfect sense if “scrutiny” means “criminal or civil culpability”.

Ok. A few issues I have here...

If you’re a burglar then no. You would be correct. The police are not your friends.

Couldnt disagree more. Autonomous automobiles ate in their infancy. It’s not at all reasonable for a mature adult person to blindly put their faith into a self-driving car, particularly when that car warns you every time you activate the autopilot that you STILL HAVE TO BE ALERT AND RESPONSIBLE.

The obvious “correct” answer is a 69, preferably with the RS package but for me it’s a ‘70 split-bumper RS/Z28.

The “rate” at which cops are shooting unarmed civilians? There are over 300,000,000 people in the US, over 800,000 uniformed police officers and over FORTY MILLION police/civilian interactions per year.

Soooo...
