Re brand loyalty, I think when the car-maker changes the character of their cars, loyalties change. Mine certainly do. Think about Kristen’s recent article on the Z mechanic as an example.

They have those in Australia and they call them “musk” flavor. I was over there as a kid and couldn’t understand why everyone loved them. To me it was like getting your mouth washed out with soap.
