Yes! We define speed as distance over time, and gravity bends both space and time, changing the 'distance' between two points and also the amount of time that passes between two events. If you were in a spaceship travelling through these gravitational waves you would experience something indistinguishable from

I really feel like you should give this movie a second chance. It was marketed VERY badly, focusing on the comedy sidekick and the magical stuff, where the film focused on the relationship between the two sisters and their realization that they need each other. While you're right in that it was marketed very

I can't believe no-one's mentioned this! We were sold a Terrence Malick tinged epic Superman movie, exploring themes of heroism and loneliness; we were given a clunky, confused mess which didn't understand its own themes, characters and replaced them with uninteresting exposition and impact-less fights.

Actually, the original explanation isn't correct. The momentum explanation alone isn't sufficient to explain the motion of the beads. Proof: Try this same experiment with a piece of string.

I'm a Marvel fan who knows OF the GOTG, but wouldn't call himself a "fan" of them. But I am VERY excited for this movie. Here's why:

Dr. is a perfectly good abbreviation for the word Doctor! It's just like abbreviating it to DW surely!

I never watched much of it.. it's been on my to-watch list for a while though.

I don't know, I think it's unfair to write off ALL of the Original Dr Who. The really early stuff is painfully slow and has absolutely NO budget for SFX, but there's some really really great stuff later (IMO starting with Jon Pertwee). And it's fantastic.

I am legally obligated to vote for Dr. Who as a British person, but it was a tough call.

It's a real shame too because there are some interesting points here to be made about the nature of long-form storytelling. Basically both these polls are pitting longer running shows against shorter ones. So the decision comes down to longevity and all the quality and tonal control problems that come with that vs. a
