The most aerodynamic shape known to man is the “tear drop” - and it looks to me that by extending those rear body panels the IAA morphs into a shape closer to a tear drop.

Its not the best looking concept car by a long shot BUT it does push some boundaries in an industry that is usually pretty flaccid about new ideas.

This is EXACTLY the kind of out-of-the-box hair brained that we need to see more of in the Auto Industry. Ask me how I know.

Because it gives more design freedom. All the major components are basically in the floor boards.

Can’t remember the name, but those lights were of a Porsche thesis project by an Auto Design student from Pforzheim University.

When the Model III comes out it will charge in under 10 minutes. Now how many miles you will net in those 10 mins remains to be seen, currently it stands to be about 150.

New technology always costs a premium, if you follow tech or have ever purchased a 1st generation Apple product you would know this.

$100 says some trans designers at Mazda and Nissan are pissed right now.

As an industrial designer I loathe any kind of case, especially the Taylor Swift kind.

Yeah, you’re correct, $799 does seem a bit excessive for a larger iPad. Even $699 seems more reasonable given the typical $499 entry price.

As an industrial designer a I have to say I’m a little shocked at the price of the Smart Keyboard. It seems a bit over board.

Strong words for someone who probably doesn’t know the first thing about design + architecture.

Something that really grinds my gears about this show is the lack of REAL firepower. Seriously though, where are all the hummers, tanks, and SR-25 Stoner Rifles?

Can someone explain to me why the X-Wing is black and orange? Every TFA X-Wing I’ve seen is white/grey/blue - which I totally prefer.

Complete rebuild of my M20 on my BMW E30 325is.

While I love to see fellow trans designers pushing the envelope of material usage and proportions, I personally find the design unattractive.

Google is a household name. People across the world young and old know it.
