I really would just like to see a complete refresh. The whole app grid looks so dated to me.

We called it, “Home assistance”. It was originally meant for for HVAC repair, water heaters, etc. After a while, we realized people were covering their rent and utilities and the client base started calling it Fast Cash so that’s what the unofficial name is. Ironically, it's a good performer with little charge offs.

VP at a credit union here. Back when I was a loan officer, we would do this all the time for members. We’d pay the rent directly and we would set them up on payroll deduction to make sure we got paid. Stretch it out over a year. Rate was the state cap of 18% and we charged a $50.00 fee but most people were very

Canceled it years ago but Comcast never turned it off.

Can you have Delta and Hilton both connected or do you have to choose one or the other?

Not mentioned here but I’m curious how the carriers slow rollout of RCS impacts messaging and security.

I’m going to be honest here and hopefully won’t get flamed too bad but as a lender when I see people who are poor and/or poor credit, I make a default judgement. I’m constantly having to check myself and realize that just because someone doesn’t make enough or has poor credit that they are a bad person.

I keep nothing on my desk. Work at work and personal everywhere else but there. I’m of the old school where you don’t mix the two ever.

Unfortunately no. My senior management generally sees the staff as a lower caste than them.

I have 91 sicks days. I’ve been here 12 years and they used to just accrue. New management and you only get 5 per year but I’m grandfathered in. I’ll be mentally unwell for 91 days soon.

Lender here for a small credit union for teachers. We do a lot of auto refinances and I always wondered why people would finance with the dealership at a higher rate and then would tell me they were told they can’t refinance or payoff the loan for 3 months even though the contract says there is no prepayment penalty.

Just curious here since I’ve never owned a macbook but how much life do you get out of them.  If it would last your 4 or 5 years, I could see spending $1,800.00

My boss is the absolute worst. He was from a small town up North and then moved to a large southern city with a strong black and LGBT population. He hadn’t been around anyone other than straight people. I’ll tell a few instances of how he was “insensitive” to my gayness.

Generally anything Hamilton Nolan writes irritates the piss out of me but I have to agree. I work for a Credit Union and do lending and these people seem to be making less and less every year. I also feel it disproportionately affects blacks and latinos. When I started working there, it was mostly a black community

People need to understand that the clone will not have the same personality as the original. I remember hearing a story on this American Life called 2nd Chance about a couple who cloned their bull who was very friendly. The clone unfortunately was mean and I believe attacked the wife on several occasions. The Cloned

Sure did.

First relationship after coming out. I bought him all these little cute things (or so I thought for valentine’s). I gave them to him, then her broke up with me and said, “You are nice but you need to find yourself.” I left, sat in my car, and cried.

As a lender for a credit union, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to explain this to people. They think Credit Karma is the one score that rules them all.

I’m a lender and when we do consumer loans we always ask if they pay rent and put that into the DTI calculation. Also, we are starting to see rent reported to the credit bureaus in some instances. These are usually big apartment complex chains though.

My partner and I (gay interracial couple) really debated on who to vote for. We both voted Mary not because of her being white but she was more involved in the LGBT community and the Reed endorsement turned us off.
