Got these solid engine mounts from a buddy of mine that were rusty but trusty. The first picture was after lots and lots of wire wheel activity. My daughter decided she wanted to get dirty with a wire brush and scotch brite, so this happened.
Chances are that you’ve seen me post about my 1990 Eagle Talon TSi. It’s come so far since when it hit the driveway, and the journey still has many trials and tribulations ahead.
Nathan’s 1968 Dodge Dart. This car is the longest he’s ever owned a vehicle. Many of you have asked about this car upon spotting it in garage photos. It’s always been insanely reliable.
Dropped $30 a can of 3M adhesive remover. Been wanting to debadge the Shitsubishi. 3M adhesive remover is absolutely amazing stuff. Turned the old badge glue into mucus like liquid that I was able to remove very easily.
A few months back you may remember me writing a piece about my friend Austin’s SRT4 we went to pick up at his old home in Indianapolis. He’s owned it for years. Today, we swapped the summer wheels and tires back on, detailed the interior, performed an oil change and did the power steering belt.
Bored and have tons of 3M carbon fiber vinyl left. So, suppose I had to do the first Mirage rice mod. Actually breaks up nice on the orange if I do say so myself.
We have some yuck weather coming in. So what do I do? A full detail on the Shitsubishi of course!
$700 dollars later, I’m ready for a revival.
It’s been a minute, and I’ve missed posting! Life has been pretty crazy, but here’s some updates on the projects in the garage.
My dad is in town, so had to go visit him a few cities away. Kind of looks nice in this shot.
Sorry I’ve been away everybody! Worked the last two weeks straight on the road, going from Ohio all the way to Massachusetts and everywhere in between. Work has been nuts and life has been wild.
Here we go. The guy that brings you the odd and stupid automotive games is back. Today, I want to know one thing; what’s your unusual dream car.
I’m excited to announce an upcoming piece I’m working on. My good friend Nathan has a SCAT Pack Challenger 6MT you’ve heard about before. Now, I’ll be driving its’ other alter ego, but fully loaded!
Long ago, the four cylinder engine was a gold standard of frugal transportation. In an era of large displacement V8 engines that were as approximately as efficient as your local driver’s license office, the four cylinder engine chiseled itself into American homes. As the gas crisis hit, these small engines started to…
Screen shot straight from my Facebook. It outlines the details and rules. Let the games begin!
When I got my Talon, I had a vision of what I wanted to do with it. Daily drive it and hurt feelings without getting too insane with it. Well as the ways of DSM ownership goes, that never really happens. The car has been my sole daily driver until I purchased my shiny new Mirage, and it’s hurt feelings along the way.…
It’s crazy, but the Mirage has covered almost 1,000 miles in the few weeks I’ve owned it. There’s things I absolutely adore about it, things that I enjoy about it, and things I absolutely loathe about it. I’m going to delve into each one today, and in a few days hopefully have a video edited and live for your…
Ahh yes, so called “journalists” love to hate on the newest generation of the Mitsubishi Mirage. There’s plenty of reasons to hate this car, with only 78 horsepower generated from a 1.2 liter three cylinder, it hasn’t any scrap of sportiness whatsoever. However, it isn’t supposed to. In fairness, what this car is…
Introducing my Shitsubishi, a 2017 fully loaded Mirage. 40s in the MPG range, priced very well, and warranty coverage until 2024 or 125,000 miles. Features are decent for a $13,000 car. Apple CarPlay, backup camera, and full power windows and locks are decent equipment for a cheap shit car.
