It sure does seem like GOP censorship, since the Republican presiding over the chamber (Ted Poe, of Texas) did not approve of the protest and so declared the House of Representatives to be in recess.

I saw the front of your Jeep and didn’t read the article before the first thought popped into my head was:
“Getting there early is being on time; getting there on time is being late,” or something to that effect. General rule I was always told was get to a job interview ten minutes early. You can sit down, de-stress, hit the head if you need to, adjust your tie, whatever. And it looks good to a recruiter that you showed up…
It may well be best to call and reschedule if something unforeseen comes up (massive traffic accident, for example) but my problem is that I arrive fifteen minutes before my scheduled interview appointment and end up feeling incredibly awkward just sitting there in a reception area or somesuch. The secretary always…
Counter-counterpoint: The Federation is so much better than one man’s Ahabian vengeance.
Kirk was supposed to be above that kind of base hatred.
You’ve never seen Batman Begins, have you?
Add to the “almost genocidal” list Kirk, who infamously initially refused to help the Klingon Empire when it was on the brink of destruction. “Let them die,” he said.
Kirk’s supposed moral superiority is washed away with his speech in The Undiscovered Country. Regarding the iminent doom of the entire Klingon species, Kirk stated unequivocally: “Let them die.”
I would hardly say that “A Taste of Armageddon” qualifies as typcai Kirk behavior.
She killed millions of Borg in one fell swoop. That’s genocide.
Janeway, too.
TV Tropes has a trope called “early installment weirdness,” and I think that fits Archer for at least the first season and most of the second. They set him up as this great explorer, and that’s what we expected. What we received was, for a while, a shouty, angry captain with tinges of xenophobia.
And Sisko will open an orb to see the future. Picard will take fourteen hours to debate with himself where to move a piece. Archer will insist on taking a walk to find a new flower. Kirk will just have sex with the game board.
“Incompetent,” you say?
This has amused and awed me enough that I’m re-installing Bridge Commander tonight. That game was the gold standard for me for Star Trek and putting me in the center chair...but this?
You, apparently. :)
At this point, with all the carriers including SMS in their plans, what good is a dedicated messaging app? More, we live in an age where we have Netflix, Spotify, Pandora, YouTube, Amazon Video, and Facebook all eating up our monthly-apportioned data...but here’s an app that will eat up more data, but it’s totally…
I’m sorry, but this article is so full of grammatical errors that I cannot read it. In your haste to condemn the cable, you have written something that would make most junior high school English teachers break their correction pens.
Yeah...Trump supporters don’t do anything bad at all. They don’t just walk up to protesters and pepper spray them for no reason at all.
