You are not a fan of GotG 2? I thought it was better than GotG. (But honestly, I really connected with the father figure message—I have twin boys who will be off to school in a year or so, and it has been have an affect on me.)

I think I read (maybe here or AVClub) that the idea is that most kids stream shows these days, so the 10pm might be set up for adults to join in.
I do remember that, now. I think I thought it was the agent with the leg problem from the war (or at least, that was the misdirect they sent us on).
It would be pretty easy to ret-con that, and the MCU really pays little attention to the Marvel TV shows anyway.
Did we ever see the husband? I really don’t remember...
I think a lot of people with whom Trump is popular with have checked out and wouldn’t talk to those “poll people” about it.
I don’t agree with Jeff Flake’s politics at all, but I do appreciate his honesty in this matter.
I think this is another case for term limits for Congress. I don’t know what those are (3 terms for Senators? 18 years seems like a good length to serve).
Perhaps more people would be willing to get things done or at least…
I think the Marvel Spiderman cartoon. In the comics, Flash became a war veteran, lost his legs (I think), and then bonded with Venom symbiote and became a hero. I don’t know if that is now still the way it is or not.
I think parts of the story line have made it into the Spiderman cartoons on Disney.
I agree with you that I think there is a bit of future proofing that is going on. I tend to hang on to my iPhones for 3-4 years anyway. Five would be awesome, and 5 years+ is about what I expect out of a $1000+ laptop or other gadget.
Two things to consider:
Pretty sure that at this price point, it is random pattern.

Yeah, I always thought of it as a sword and sorcery type fantasy series, where as this one made it sound more scifi.
I also always thought it was interesting that the Kelewans didn’t have many metals on their world, and how their technology/magic adapted to that premise.
Thanks for the reminder.
Did Pug go back in time, though? Were the invaders really aliens?
That synopsis is not really how I remember it, but it has been a LOOONG time since I read it. Perhaps I need to read it again. I have wanted to introduce it to my son, anyway...
Yeah, I really did enjoy Being Human. I had a lot of fun watching that whole series.
Time travel is supposed to be involved, right? It could happen, I guess.
I am happy to see Slattery again, although I like Dominic Cooper better as young H Stark.
Agreed.
I’ll grant you that there is crookedness in both parties.
Strom Thurmond was a Republican for nearly 40 years. He left the Democratic party due to the reason you cite.
To say he was a staunch democratic liberal is either misinformed or misleading.
Yeah. I deleted the app. It was taking up a lot of space on my phone (I have an iphone with limited storage), and I tried thinning things down, but FB just took up so much. I just use web access now. But, as a result, I think I am using FB less, and I think that is probably a good thing for me.
I would agree that waiting is better, but then there is the aspect of life expectancy. What is the cost-benefit of losing those 3 years of income (62 vs 65 or later). If you only live to 70, I am not sure it would matter much if you took retirement early. If you live to mid 80s, then you have probably missed out on…
This is the point to make. This was a political hit job for something that had already been apologized for and deleted.
Also, if you look at those tweets by pro athletes that are being criticized, most of them had some pretty racist overtones. I don’t remember Gunn’s tweets being racist, but in really bad taste that…
Starred mostly for evil Rip Hunter. He was such a badass for that tv show!
I won’t go that far. I think Snyder was back pedaling when he said, “Superman would lighten up/vow never to kill again after all the horrible things that were done to him/he had to do.”
In hindsight, however, if you were trying to do with Superman what Nolan did with Batman, Snyder wasn’t probably too far off the mark.
