Just because you don’t understand doesn’t mean it doesn’t make sense. Learn to read.
But this law is definitely going to hurt business for fully consenting prostitutes. That isn’t right. We should be defending women’s rights not taking them away.
Please stop spreading these lies. The only proof that prostitution decreased in Sweden is the police departments word. Prostitution has just gone further underground, out of the sight of police officers. This law hasn’t helped Sweden and it won’t help France.
It’s not your place to decide what makes women happy. They should help trafficked women all they can but restricting women’s rights is NEVER the solution. This will only drive prostitution further underground as in did Sweden, Norway and other Nordic countries.
So are they going to ban pornography next? Women in porn are getting paid to have sex on camera. The only difference between porn and prostitution is literally the presence of a camera. That’s why banning prostitution makes no sense. What of when a guy buys a girl a drink or buys her dinner and then sleeps with her…
Driving prostitution further underground isn’t “reducing trafficking” . And even if it would reduce human trafficking, what of the women who fully consent to prostitution? Is the government just going to take away their right to consensual prostitution?
So what about the women who are fully consenting adults and willing choose to participate in prostitution? What will become of them? Oh yeah, the (predominantly male) government of France decided to restrict their rights to do was they want with THEIR OWN BODIES.
Women will now be more afraid to report abuse to the police for fear of losing clients. This will only drive prostitution further underground.
Women will now be afraid to report abuse for fear of losing their clients. Restricting women’s rights is NEVER the answer.
Sex trafficking is terrible but restricting women’s rights is never answer. I believe women should have a choice with what they do with their own bodies and if you don’t believe that then I feel sorry for you.
Women have the right to do what they want with their own bodies, and that includes prostitution. Restricting prostitution is restricting women’s rights. Banning prostitution doesn’t stop prostitution anymore than abortions stops abortions, it just drives them underground and makes them less safe. This is a huge step…
It didn’t actually reduce trafficking at all. It just pushed prostitution further underground and out of the sight of law enforcement.
As long as we’re both fully consenting adults then there’s nothing wrong with prostitution. These aren’t the 1950's anymore. Get with the times.
So restricting women’s right to do what they want with their own bodies is the solution? They might as well ban strip clubs too. And there are several counter claims that the number of prostitutes in Sweden hasn’t gone down, prostitution just went further underground making it more difficult for them to track. So…
It is feasible. People just have to acknowledge that women have the right to do whatever they want with their own bodies, including prostitution.
You’re glad they’re restricting women’s right to prostitution?! You do realize prostitution will still continue right? It’ll just be more unsafe for sex workers.
So women don’t have the right to do what they want with their own bodies?! Are they going to ban abortions too? France is now officially a third world country. No better than the US.
I think marriage like monogamy is actually fading out of society and this can only be seen as a good thing.
So she’s trans-feline?
