I grew up in a rural town full of farmers - Stardew Valley’s racial breakdown seems pretty realistic. That said, it’s kind of interesting that the game addresses classism but not racism.

Jeff Vogel wrote a good write-up about all this. Imo, the corpses make some abilities/classes much more useful, and there are worse game mechanics than the heart attacks.

I mostly agree, but out of curiosity - what about games you can’t buy? I used to be into arcade emulators, where the games were hard or impossible to find legally (no idea what it’s like now.) Regional releases were sometimes difficult too.

For the DRM-free stuff, it says somewhere that you aren’t supposed to share it. You’re more or less doing the equivalent of burning a CD. :P
