I haven’t looked into it myself, but I’ve heard that the rules are easy to change and aren’t much of a barrier.

Even if the third writer is being more condescending than she thinks, her boyfriend still sounds like a jerk she’s better off without.

Idk, I’m thinking they might take a page out of Trump’s book and try to spin a loss as a win. Pretend that it was all a strategy to force a moderate on Obama.

The way I (charitably) interpreted his statement wasn’t a double standard by society, but more like hypocrisy from the catcallers. A woman catcalling a guy probably wouldn’t like it if a guy catcalled her. Meanwhile, the jerks that harass woman usually don’t care what women say to them.

Heroes of Might and Magic III. Unique gameplay, easy to hop into a new map or go back to the campaign. Compared to titles from the same time period, the graphics have aged extremely well. Rebought it on GOG for simplicity.

I can barely remember the first game, but I’ve played a lot of the second one.

I’ve been playing Thea: The Awakening lately, which borrows a lot. Finally got tired of this game after ~400 hrs.

Sad to hear it has some sexist/homophobic stuff going on, it otherwise looks pretty interesting.

XII is my favorite. Imo it’s more different than the others, more of a cross between the standard FF series and Tactics.

Those last few sentences apply to some of the writers still here, though - ones who post thinkpieces etc. instead of silly tongue-in-cheek articles.

Not quite who you’re asking, but as a heterosexual woman, I think it’s an added plus when a dude streamer is handsome. It’s pretty natural for sex appeal to be present in entertainment - most people on TV are good looking. It would be less of a problem in gaming, specifically, if female gamers were treated as common

That’s not really fair. Most animals are harmful if they attack you, but most won’t attack in the first place. Mountain lions only go after adult humans in extreme or unlikely circumstances.

Grew up in Kentucky, going to school in Indiana. It’s pretty frustrating.

Tbh I was thinking exactly that when she said it. The guys would’ve probably remembered the name of the woman who just asked the deportation question. Hillary had a super awkward pause before saying “that woman.”

Honestly, I’m a little worried about a Hillary vs. Trump debate (coming from a Hillary supporter.) He hasn’t been fazed by reality so far, and she’s already jumped through so many ridiculous hoops that I’d feel bad for her.

This was my first RPG, and it’ll probably be my kids’ too. Such a great game.

That wasn’t different in ‘08, though; from my personal experience, Hillary was seen as the uncool old lady compared to Obama.

If they never hear anything different, it’s pretty easy to accept. I didn’t think much about sexism until I went to grad school for STEM and saw it outright. If you grow up in the right (wrong) environment, it’s easy to make excuses for slut shaming etc.

I mean, it’s not like Kentucky has a problem with education or anything. /s

This isn’t even mentioning that name-calling isn’t created equal. I’ve heard players tell other players with a feminine username to get back in the kitchen, and there’s really no male equivalent to that. For example, there are a frightening number of people who think something like the n-word and “cracker” are equally
