RIP
This is great and all, but let’s not lose sight of the fact that Jeff Flake is a repugnant piece of shit who has voted with the Trump agenda 95% of the time.
Justice would be that PR decides to go all in with Tesla and the good ol boy electric company ends up with no or very few customers and goes out of business.
It would be an amazing irony if Puerto Rico ending up becoming the self sustaining energy utopia while the rest of America gets thrown into an energy crisis after 45 and his “clean coal”.
“But there’s something a little queasy about a billionaire swooping in and driving that process. Even if Musk’s designs are well-intentioned, there’s still a whiff of disaster capitalism. ”
Why not just give Musk the kudos he deserved without the backhand? He did a nice thing helping where no one else did and he did so for free. He didn’t profiteer, so I don’t know how that is disaster capitalism. If he gets to demonstrate his tech, I’m fine with that.
Rastafarian????
Every day the palette reminds me of a cutesy scrapbooking mom from the 2000’s. And that’s why these colors grate on me (shudder).
Little known fact: Barbara Bush the Younger cofounded an organization called Global Health Corps which apparently has a very good rep for health promotion in developing nations. A friend of mine, who would have rather been strung up by his genitals and left to sway in the breeze than vote for her father, was recently…
Granted, I haven’t stepped foot inside Lord & Taylor in maybe a decade, and I really have no attachment to that brand in particular, but I do have attachment to the character of New York City and its spaces, and frankly, it is going to shit, and it has been for a couple decades. To clarify, this city is, and has…
Kiss me.
The investigation opened by the NY AG against the Weinstein Company is probably going to have the most impact because this goes straight to the heart of the problem - the enablers. And it’s against the company, not the individual. I really HOPE this tips the scales very heavily toward companies taking this more…
I assume it was. It helps make sure Conde gets good press by being proactive instead of weeks of women coming out with stories about being harassed by him. I know plenty of women have already done so, but it seems like the news cycle is paying attention right now. A former model friend of mine stood up to him when she…
Gee, I wonder how many of Terry’s famous friends will stand by him? I’m looking at you, Justin Theroux, Chloe Sevigny, Lady Gaga, etal!
Oh, so does this mean we can finally quit pretending that Terry Richardson hasn’t been gross as hell FOREVER? Also, his shitty photography has always been just as much garbage as he is as a human being, and I will never understand his popularity.
Seeing the actual repercussions for the Weinstein company, other high profile firings, and realizing that he was actually far more replaceable than either a part owner or the top chef and the many many accusations against him were rock solid and they’d look even worse if they didn’t make a move.
I’m sure the last straw was the Weinstein situation. They realized it was a bad look they were still working with him even though he’s been a known disgusting for years. So now they’re trying to cover their asses before sites are turned back onto him.
Realizing they might face some consequences. Nothing that could have happened to the women would have mattered.
re: Terry Richardson, better late than never I guess? Wonder what the final straw was.
