It is. It might also be the best. If only just the best attempt by another actor to take a performance into a Nicolas Cage zone.

Like, I know it’s bad. It’s undeniably bad, but I cannot help but kind of love what Colin Farrell was doing in that movie. He just turned the Farrell up to like 50.
I knew all they had to do to fix the Discovery Klingons was to give them Heavy Metal wigs
For my money, Nimoy’s best voice work was in the old G1 Transformer’s movie... Oh, how he growled out “Coronation, Starscream? This is bad comedy.”
WAT
I’m sorry. What were you saying?
Oh, and of course, the Klingons are back! And they have hair this time
I like it. Be thankful they didn’t tie-in TNG characters. Ha.
Sounds like he’s got a better voice than our last Spock. Kind of one of Nimoy’s best qualities, that kick ass baritone. I have enjoyed Discovery. I hope Spock doesn’t boof it up...
You can blame fanbases for that. Studios wouldn’t feel like they have to explain and tie everything in if fans would stop demanding explanations and just did what everyone had always done before the current crop of entitled little shits took over - made up their own theories.
Blimey that photo of the new Spock...
SECONDED!! There are many other personnel and ships in Starfleet!
Yeah, I feel like the current dominant mentality with the big studios is that “nothing new under the sun” is actually a goal to achieve.
Overall I have enjoyed this show, but I’m so disappointed that someone felt the need to tie in TOS characters at all, and Spock in particular.
As opposed to nicole kidman leaping 20 feet in the air or mantis jumping through a brick wall like nothing is there or aquaman lifting a submarine or swimming superfast or a drop of water that somehow powers rudimentary mechanical gears. I didn’t see any action scenes that actually followed the basic laws of physics…
Good news everyone! It’s a suppository!

There’s a Luc Besson-y kinda feel which is cool. But there’s this goofy sheen to it that I can’t shake.
Of all the characters in the DC Universe, and the goddamn abysmal track record of the DCEU to date, never once did I expect to actually be somewhat excited for a fucking Aquaman movie.
Nothing Momoa has ever done has sold me on him as an actor, and he left zero impression in Justice League, but hiring James Wan to…
Looks fun!
