OH MY GOD THAT'S UNDERTAKER'S MUSIC!

I cannot wait for the U.S.S. People's Elbow to be commissioned as our newest supercarrier.

Uh, Mr. Johnson? If you're volunteering to lift an 8-year-old by the skull, there's a place down on the 1600 block of Pennsylvania that could use some help.

::puts on sunglasses::

As long as they find a way to bring in Walter the Wobot and the brilliant satire of the comic, I'm all for this. It shouldn't be grimdark ultraviolence for its own sake, there's a hell of a lot of comedy in the source material.

"In accordance to his laws"

As long as it keeps the dark humor of the actual comic, I’m all for this. It doesn’t need to be unrelentingly grimdark, it should be satire.

Totally agreed, forcing the writers to come with something with a narrative arc other than "me want title" at least provides an opportunity for characters to be actual characters.

THIS.

We can have TWO things!

Massive props to the writers for Aida/Ophelia's heel/face/heel turns - all in one episode. Not only did they (and Jansen) make it entirely believable given the arc of the character and the plot developments, she is WAY scarier now that she's a scorned human than she was as a desperate robot.

I like that in the photo Dinklage appears to be saying, "I know, I know. Look, just… give it a chance, OK?"

Agreed. I've thought basically since the first season of GoT that a prestige series would do wonders for Arthur and Co., because there's so much that lends itself to smaller episodic story arcs, and the dull parts are easily excised or refocused to find the interesting character bits.

And it almost never lands! I don't know if it's bad camerawork or the fact that the stupid little hop-leap makes it difficult to convey impact, but I swear every time he does it it comes off as a glancing blow at best, and a complete miss at worst.

Consumption of pop culture has almost never been a hard and fast requirement for snark about pop culture, so I think it's bidness as usual round these parts.

At first I was going to respond in disbelief, "SIX?!?" and then I realized that they would probably Marvel-ize the Knights of the Round Table in their own films before Avengering up to have them all defeat Morgan Le Fay or something.

"cephalodian witch-sirens"

Hey, that reminds me, aren't we due in the cycle for another Hollywood submarine movie or three? Seems like it's been awhile.

ZODIAC MOTHERFUCKER would look upon AV Club 2017's definition of "ownage" and burn the place down.

"Hello, Mr. Incognito II. Mind if I sit down? What's in the bag there, looks like some wine coolers? What, ah, what are those for?"
