You’ll have to forgive me, I’m working through a problem here. I’m faced with some seriously cool technology that gets me excited in a flying car, robot maids, vaporwave kind of way: A wireless mouse that never needs to be plugged in. No cord to transmit data. No dock or cable to keep it charged. If you had told…
My Chevy S-10 has wheel chocks in the tire change tool kit. I’ve never seen those included with a vehicle before.
So looking forward to this - great news. As much as Jesus Diaz was snarky, he knew his onions - so was pretty bummed when he left. Anway a few questions:
This is so exciting to hear. A friend got me into “The Design of Everyday Things” a few years back, and it’s completely changed my perspective on what “a good design” is. It’s not just about looks, but first and foremost “does it work well?”
“the GH5S should be able to produce some of the most accurate and least noisy low-light images of any camera on this side of the medium format divide” that’s a bold statement my friend. A7s series has the sensor four times as big as GH5S with pixels that allow four times as much light in. Panasonic can claim a 51,200…
Oh man, I’m using a D810, but my poor broke ass is salivating at the chance to have that camera for... Research purposes and/or fun. Okay fine, mainly just greed and fun.
Display manufacturers must be eating up the whole 4/5/8+K bandwagon... I can almost hear them:
I expect lots of New and Improved gadgets and technologies. It makes me feel like I’m back to Old “the Gadget Guide” Gizmodo.
I am most excited about smart home stuff. No, I dont’ care about being able to turn on lights with my phone (although it’s nice to do so from far away to make it look like I’m home). But I want more integration in terms of monitoring mainly, especially more functional cameras and sensors (I use HomeKit and love it but…
quite possibly the ugliest iphone with that hole in the middle of the screen. looks like someone dropped it and the top just cracked off. imho, samsung and LG screen design looks so much better
Apple is driving the price of the market, they decide to charge $1000 and then Samsung thinks to itself “If you can pay $1000 for an iphone you can pay $1000 for a note” and then all others follow suit. There isn’t a $500 difference in functionality between a Nexus 6P and a Pixel 2 XL, but the market leader (Apple)…
At this point, I’m more than happy with my iPhone 8. It has iOS 11.2 on it and with all the news reports coming in. It doesn’t look like I’m going to update it from iOS 11 for quite a while.
Original + 6 sequels = 7 movies.
“The overwhelming majority of the cherry-picked comments we used for our analysis show that these ‘people’ are in favor of giving us unilateral control over the internet so that we can do whatever we want with it, however we want.”
Pai is a hack and the internet is doomed. You thought you hated cable tv? Wait until you see the internet the telecoms have planned. Remember what the internet is like now. You will want it back when or if a reasonable man regains control of the Executive Branch.
The prices seem more acceptable when you consider the need to update every two years has significantly reduced. We are at the point of diminishing returns. This phone will be fine for years.
The problem with all this stuff is that it still required to sign up for services to see the info you want. Which is kind of silly isn’t in being the internet and all? I find it mind blowing how many things now require a sign in, for no reason other than just to sign in. I am not the only one i’m sure that simply…
Not just as likely, Authorities are MORE likely to try to get into your phone. The 4th amendment is dead in this country as is the 2nd and I fear soon the first.
