It’s just that his tone is all wrong for Superman.

This seems like a long walk to a small town.
that’s often been how it feels to read Marvel Comics — at any given time, a hero or villain from some other book might make a brief cameo and mention some big storyline going on in their own series, but people who don’t read that series will just get that fragment and have to live with the lack of context.
Delivered.
Call me crazy, but I had the same gut-wrenching feeling in my stomach for most of this episode as I did watching Breaking Bad’s Ozymandias - That feeling of knowing something was happening that couldn’t be undone and realizing things can only get darker. For me this season has been hit or miss, but this episode had me…
It felt like Ruby was trying to emulate FitzSimmons’ affection with Werner.
I think the reason why most Game of Thrones readers didn’t spoil the plot for others is that they remembered how they felt reading key moments themselves and wanted others to have the same experience. Those who read the books did it because they enjoyed the source material and waited a punishing amount of time for…
I’m really looking forward to Thanos taking on that guy from Snowpiercer
The stories were great, but also a shout out for the musical scoring, particularly in A Fool’s Hope. I heard the Force theme, Return of the Jedi, and others that were perfectly matched to the moments. Overall a great ending to a great series!
Wish I hadn’t watched live on DisneyXD. The first episode ended in respectful silence and then XD shrunk the credits down to thumbnail size while they blasted a commercial for some other show. Way to take me out of the mood. (And don’t get me started on the 30 commercial breaks during each episode. If I hear about…
If I got a resume for a “Gary Windu” I would hire him immediately.
This. I wanted to enjoy the trailer but everything about his voice just took me out of it. Ewan McGregor did a great job as Sir Alec in the prequels, so the bar is set high, and Aldenreich did some great voice work in Hail Caesar, so not sure why he’s so off here.
I watched it and I won’t include any spoilers, but I enjoyed the surprise of the movie releasing unannounced more than the actual movie itself. I enjoyed 10 Cloverfield Lane much more than this one. And for those of you who get an annoying fucking Netflix auto-play of Altered Carbon as the credits are starting to…
But more importantly, which bathrooms should these objects be using? If they identify as planets but don’t meet our standard definition, Mercury, Venus, and I don’t want them using the same bathrooms as us and our kids. And no cop-outs by saying it should be up to each galaxy to decide and enforce on their own.
10 of 10 Goldblums
If the movie is still a couple of years out I could see Mille Bobbie Brown doing an amazing job.
Obligatory
When the opportunity presented itself to finish a story that we had begun with these new characters, to tell the last chapter of their story, it felt like there was a chance to do it in a way where we could go beyond, and do better than we did in Seven.
I’ve been avoiding all the TV spots but something made me click on this one yesterday. And I regretted it. Exactly at 0:26 :-(
