Tophat? Tophat! Now, does the grappling hook come out of a cane? It doesn't need to, but it could be quite neat looking; or descend down (e.g.) telegraph poles by sliding with a cane hook. Either that or a blade/rapier/exotic rifle concealed in the cane.
