Please for the love of all things good please let the Akira movie stay in development hell. It’s bad enough that they’re going to whitewash GitS and eliminate any trace of Japanese culture from the story. I don’t care how good the concept art looks just let this movie stay buried.

Depends what you like. If you want it to be Batman Begins: The Series, then you’ll hate it. If you want it to be prequel series to Batman: TAS with all its goofiness and OTT gallows humor, then yes. Absolutely, yes! It has fully embraced its camp, albeit a very dark form of camp, and glories in it unabashed.
I was really sad to see that The Water Knife and Aurora didn’t get Hugo nods. They were certainly worthy books.
