I hate this take. The “thick skin” one. No offense, this isn’t personal and you’re far from the only one who espouses it. It’s just... there is no skin thick enough! When you’re subjected to that volume, that force of hate, it doesn’t matter how well you handle it, it affects your life. Even if you’re the A+ number

At this point I’m team whoever gets to November. I don’t have a strong preference for anyone, and while there are a couple of people I really, really don’t want to be the nominee, I’m even willing to vote for them if it means stomping this orange motherfucker into the dirt. I don’t think the democrats should run

I mean, there’s a difference between “white allies” and actual allies. You have the performatively woke white assholes on Twitter who will hashtag BlackLivesMatter and turn around and get on with their gentrification, asking to see the manager, and demanding that people of color continue to do all the emotional labor

My guess is Pike takes command for an episode or two, and then Saru has is in command full time. Most of the shots of Disco’s bridge have Saru giving orders and taking the center seat. That’s my read on the trailer, and my hope for the season.

I loved that Tilly line. Same for her “This is so fucking cool!” in season one. It’s an interaction I’d been wanting in Trek for so long, for a character to acknowledge in some human way just how amazing all the crazy superscience they think up on the fly is. That was absolutely a line that had been uttered on every

Yeah he really does look like a younger version of Greenwood’s Pike. Gotta give props to hair and makeup on that, too, they nailed it.

More of Tilly being the absolute best. I’m happy with that. Mount looks really good as Pike, has a bit of Pine’s swagger to his performance, which I’m fond of. Looks like they’re going to spend more time with ancillary bridge officer characters like Detmer as well, that was something I thought the first season lacked

It’s worse. It was Cernovich, which of course the article doesn’t mention because it’s either slapdash and rushed or the author has some weird interest in hiding that fact. Go check the piece on Polygon for an article that actually goes into any amount of detail:

Well, with all due respect, you really fucked this story up, James. No mention of the alt-right monster who dredged these up as supposed “proof” of a nefarious pedophile conspiracy theory in Hollywood? How this is an ideologically-motivated hit job orchestrated by someone who operates entirely in the realm of

...y’all ever read something so fucked up it physically pushes you backwards?

I want to just draw everyone’s attention to the fact that he gave Kylo Ren a Vapesaber so we can all just bask in that fact for a while, here.

Exactly, it became a cipher. People could project an impossible level of quality onto it because it was never coming back, and they never had to reckon with the reality of bad episodes or dud storylines that would have inevitably played out.

Sigh. I think in 2018 we all need to finally admit to each other that Firefly was only ever “pretty good” and mostly it was just unlike what we were getting at the time. It’s done. It’s over. We’ve squeezed all the blood we’re going to get out of this particular stone.

I’m just gonna post this gif and y’all can figure out who in this story it refers to.

I know you’re in your feelings about this movie and I respect that, but I have to point out something:

Kira mentions him a lot. She became Kai largely because she didn’t trust anyone else to do the job and Sisko is very much her guiding star. There’s a little more with Sisko, small references here and there (his baseball is still in Ops waiting for him) and there’s one rather cool thing in the new content, too.

No Jake, at least not yet. There doesn’t seem to be an obvious spot for him in the current storyline, though I think Nog does mention him at some point if memory serves.

I’d start a new character, just to get the hang of the systems. You can start a Jem’hadar and jump right to the new stuff, but you’ll be better served starting fresh and learning slowly. There ARE more arcane MMOs out there but STO has quite a few layered systems that take some effort to master. You don’t need to

Not gonna lie, I’m nervous as hell about this game. It looks like everything I don’t want out of a BioWare game and nothing that I do.

You’re projecting harder than Luke at the climax of the movie, my dude.
