Not only is he back, I gotta say the artists on the game did a magnificent job of capturing his impish performance in the facial animation. I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with this game, but it looks like they did Garak justice, and Andrew Robinson is having just as much fun with it.

As a rule I try not to let anyone out of the greys here. Not my place. But yeah, to hell with that guy. Either a trump troll or a purity troll, I have time for neither.

Possibly. I can’t get inside Joy Reid’s head and look around in there, my point speaks to a broader problem. It’s true that people tend to become more set in their ways as they age, but that seems to be more true the more conservative one is to begin with. I think more liberally-minded people tend to have more

Exactly right on that last point, it’s like, this whole conversation is just academic when people who are active and unrepentant monsters are still being employed despite having mountains of evidence of them being awful readily available. Roseanne, that fucker that The Atlantic hired and fired a while back, half the

Oh boy.

Replying to myself because the greys are lively:

Destroying a charity out of spite, that’s how you know the MAGA brain worms have completed their infestation. That shit is below the lowest of the low.

HamNo is the worst kind of white liberal asshole. He always knows what’s best, his shit never stinks, and if you don’t do what he tells you when he tells you, you’re the asshole. Isn’t this the guy who went to Howard because he “loved hip-hop?” Yeah. Fuck this guy.

What’s this? An excuse to dip into \Libraries\Pictures\Fuck The Timeline again? Don’t mind if I do!

I try not to comment on many articles around here, just because I know it’s not my space, nor should it be. Way too many white men dropping their opinions all over the world, not enough shutting the fuck up and listening, even when it makes them uncomfortable.

I have this vision of an Obi-Wan solo movie that’s basically Jedi Yojimbo. A slightly older Obi-Wan struggling with the isolation of his lonely vigil on Tatooine being dragged into the affairs of the various scum and villainy on the planet, learning, reluctantly, how to be a hero again.

I remember being at a panel with Jonah Nolan and the cast of Person of Interest, they talked some about how the first season was sort of an elaborate ploy to trick CBS into letting them make a super high-concept series about AI while making them think it was their idea to do so. They pitched it as a fairly standard

Now playing

I had to go and look up a clip from it to post, Enrico Colantoni’s performance is amazing here, as is the cinematography. The lighting alone, magnificent.

The ending to this episode is just as amazing.

Yeah, magnificent episode. And Tony Todd putting in WORK in the lead role. There are always a few episodes of any series that live or die on the strength of one performance, this is absolutely one of them and he just crushes it in every single scene.

This two-parter is one of the best in the series for illuminating just how terrifying The Doctor can be. We don’t think of him as monstrous because of his tremendous kindness, but in this especially we see just what that kindness is holding back. There is nothing in that universe scarier than an unmerciful Doctor.

See I don’t mind the alien because of what a great metaphor for mental illness it is. It’s invisible, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be deadly. It might not even mean to hurt and maim, but it does so blindly. And “victory” over it may be bitter, or short-lived.

“In The Pale Moonlight” from DS9 is up there for me, as is “Far Beyond The Stars” from the same.

I don’t think it became the main focus, I mean, it’s used a couple of times in Black Panther, but most of his fighting is done without it, using it as a sort of exclamation point on an action scene.
