Depends on the seats. Many of the leather seats that I have sat on feel like a wooden or stone bench. If I am going to be in the car for 4-9 hours at a time (like when ever I travel) that will suck. I did look at leather for the last cars. Turned it down each time. I do not want to get out of the car after a long…
During drivers ed we had this massive station wagon with the seeting in the rear. When I was not driving I was always in seats back there. When ever we saw someone getting close we would hold up the student driver sign. They backed off every time. The driver’s ed instructor haded the student driver sign. I loved it.…
Was it a local/county cop? As in not a state trooper. I got pulled over a lot (like 2-3 times a week) in HS and college days. I Had a nothing of a car with a loud radio. On the back roads I cranked it up while driving. Got pulled over. Had my back packs checked a few times. The state trooper actually looked sad that…
Every car has different braking ability. Even the same make, model, and year have different breaking ability. A car’s braking ability makes no sense. Too many factors come into play. How worn are the break pads? Are the brakes in good working order? Any brake fluid leaking? How fast of a reaction time does the driver…
I think the MG midget is smaller then the TR3 my mom drove. At the time she lived in New York City. Some streets were one way. The same street could be the other way one way the next day. A few friends would just pick up and turn the TR3 around for her so she would not get a ticket. Looks like the same could be done…
Some of those ranges are huge. Ford’s range is laughably huge. It is correct. Ford does some stupid stuff. Plastic timing chain guides was one. Other times the same model is very trouble free. Consumer reports I take with a grain of salt the size of the moon. Which types of people will write into consumer reports?…
The top number says speed. OK. He hits it that number goes way up yet the stuff outside does not go by that much faster. Maybe that computer is messed up. If he was going 2x as fast the things he is passing should be going by at a much faster clip. It says 60 then 115-120 (something). Yet the signs are barely going by…
Not so sure about the tire products. I still see far too many tires with cracked sidewalls on one side. The other side, the one we can’t spray the suff on is fine. I was going to say sun damage but isn’t that stuff supposed to protect the tire from UV damage?
I know a few VW owners. They say that keeping their VW past5 years is bad. The cost of parts really adds up. They still get another VW. I think there will be a number of people who will drive to the VW dealer get their old one bought back. Then hand that money right back to the VW dealer on another VW.
+1 tow hitch
Serious question: I have been told by more then one person that around 100,000 miles Toyota, Nissan, etc will need a new transmission since that is about it. I find that really hard to believe. Then again I change the fluids in my car. Too often I am told. The oil I change when I see it getting darker. (about 5 times…
It is not the Prius that is the problem. It is that most o the people who own them are such smug morons. I was yelled at, told I was killing the earth for not driving a hybrid car by more then one Prius driving person. Even South Park made fun of the Prius. Not a fan of the Prius mostly due to people who I encounter…
I keep expecting to see a Doug DeMouro video where he touches a car and that car just totally falls apart. Even if it is a total setup it will still be funny.
Mounting the motherboard on the door so it flips out is not really a big deal. Besides Apple learned to stop dong this. People could actually replace parts on their own. Remember the lamp apple computer the G4? The motherboard was in sections on top of one another. That sucked to change the RAM.
Cannot speak for the gas miliage being better we got the same with an 85 straight 6 bronco and a 96 v8. I think the 96 gotten a little bit better millage. That might be since it was more highway driving.
There are many WTF English words on shirts over in Japan and China. One would think that if you are going to put on a tshirt with words on it you would know and understand what those words mean. Not over there it seems.
She is nice. I still disagree with her playing the Major.
*bow* even though I will be grey forever.
Go straight when going downhill on steep hills else you will just roll the truck/car.
