It’s been awhile since I’ve seen Brave, but was it really sad? I remember it being very emotional, certainly, and touching. But it all ended up pretty well didn’t it? I don’t recall any part of it being as heart-wrenching as Up or Wall-E.

LEGO is of course superior in every way, and I have both the fire house set and the Ecto 1 set, and they are awesome display pieces. But together they run $350+. If you’re just looking for fun toys to play with, this probably makes more sense.

From what I understand, it sold *fairly* well, but didn’t meet Capcom’s expectations (whatever those were). Other than the weird MMO version in...Japan? Korea?...I haven’t heard anything about a sequel. Would love it though. This game was so weird and so goddamn good.

Yep. One of the most underrated games from last gen imo. Played the fuck out of it on 360 and than again on PC. I’ll buy the shit a 3rd time, I don’t even care.

In a vacuum, I agree with you. A screenshot is in no way indicative of actual game quality. But context is important here. Rockstar is a known entity. Even GTA IV, which you reference above, and is probably their weakest game in the modern era, is in no way a BAD game. Not perfect, and not nearly as good as RDR or GTA…

Is there something with Rockstar’s history, and the previous red dead game in particular, that makes you think they won’t deliver a good game?

They’re on in Dallas-Ft. Worth, which I believe is the 4th biggest media market. I don’t listen to them, The Ticket is far superior in every way, but they’re definitely on. Can’t speak to NY/LA/Chicago though.

Yeah, Robo Recall has been the definitive experience for me with my Rift. It’s fantastic. My kid has been enjoying Lucky’s Tale quite a bit too.

While I completely agree that the formula and certainly the game play are dated, I am so invested in Clem as a character that I will ride this thing out until the conclusion of her story. The fact that I’m equal parts hopeful and terrified of what exactly that conclusion might be speaks to the quality of the writing…

It was pretty good! I wish it had been a bit longer and maybe had some more customization (It didn’t need to be a full-on RPG, but some degree of weapon selection or something), but it wasn’t terrible at all.
