Dave actually talks about it in the special. There was a trans-woman comedian he was was friends with and helping mentor. She stood up for him after some jokes from a show were taken out of context. The twitter mob pounced on her. Shortly after, she jumped off a building.

I feel like they don’t do as many bread based challenges in the later episodes anymore. Cake and meringue skills seem to be the most important. Heck, even the ability to make custards and jams seems more important than bread week.

It is rare I end up with food in my hair, despite it growing out during the current plague. It is far more likely I’ll end up with duck feathers in my hair as one of the girls will end up sleeping on my pillow or crawling into the bed next to me most nights.

Now playing

If you think that is frightening, wait until you see the Ikea teddy bears.

Disappointing to learn “Beat Bobby Flay” was a cooking a competition and not people beating Bobby with wiffle ball bats.

Don’t worry no spoilers. Aldi sponsors the GBBO, and bookending each commercial break on the online player (where I usually watch) they have spots featuring a little gingerbread family doing stuff like playing hide and seek, bouncing on a cellophane covered bowl, getting a “chocolate lab”, the son getting an arm

Channel 4 went down tonight. Lots of people missed Bake Off. GBBO is now up on All4, but subtitles are borked and I think the Aldi gingerbread people are drunk.

It was Keith. My bad. It really is easy get old rockers confused. Plus I’m shit with names.

Celebrities go unnoticed all the time. This reminds me of when Henry Cavil stood under a massive Superman poster, featuring him, in Times Square, while wearing a Superman t-shirt and went unnoticed.

You should of seen her hoping fences and chasing a guy on this week’s My Life is Murder. She still has it. In between solving crimes and baking bread in New Zealand, I’m sure she could find time to hunt down Ewoks.

Don’t forget about the corrupt state regulators that let utility companies get away with screwing people over.

We’re not giving out candy this year. Kids will not be vaccinated in significant enough numbers in our area by then. Hell, not enough adults are vaccinated around here.

With pot, and drugs in general, there is a kind of a culture of sharing. A lot of that is rooted in the hippy movement and in larger smoking culture. In general in smoking culture (excluding crack and meth) people will often let others “bum a smoke.”

It isn’t hard to “retire” Bond and let the 007 title go to a new character. Then introduce a few other 00's to help world build and explore different types of stories (as either spin-off films or series).

Why not? Well, about 1% of the population has an allergy to tree nuts (far more than have a soy allergy) and tree nuts account for around 50% of all deaths from anaphylaxis. This walrizo can create some cross-contamination issues and will require clear allergy warnings at places serving it.

The FDA clamped down on artificial trans fats and partially hydrogenated oils starting back in 2015 and products containing them should have been removed from the market by 2018, iirc. Natural trans fats (like in butter and cheese) are still allowed.

You don’t have to chill the coconut oil before incorporating it into your flour and are just wasting time and making a mess by doing so. You can even use vegetable oil to make pie crust and pastry.

Things often got quite violent at shows and clubs. I never said I curb stomped anyone, but I’ve seen people shot, stabbed, choked with a chain, curb stomped, thrown into a bonfire, beaten with baseball bats, smashed in the face with a brick, etc. at clubs and shows through the years.

I know. It seemed fitting to do to them what they were threatening to do to kids half their size.
