Goofy? Sure. But still fun to watch.

You are not missing much by not seeing BvS. I wanted to give it a chance even though I thought it would be awful. I did, and it was awful.
As did I. Her drop/crouch in the final battle was a thing of utter comic book hotness.
*and add some razors in their eyes or barbed wire around their head...
LOL. I was so disappointed. With all of it....
To each her/his own. In your case then, Cameron’s poorly-hidden, implicit meaning was apt.
Exactly. I also agree that IM 2 was not as bad as people say it was. Sure it had its issues, but I still had fun watching it. Between War MAchine & IM kicking the crap out of Hammers robots and Black Widow slicing through Hammers goons like paper, I was giddy.
LOL. Yup. Im still dismayed at HOW bad BvS was. I didnt think it would be good, but I thought it would at least be entetaining. It wasnt even that.
Agreed. Ive watched AoU alot with my son lately, and its not terrible in any way. Sure, its not as good as probably half the MCU movies, but its highly entertaining, fun and moves the MCU in the direction we know its going. IMO, its brilliant in comparison to BvS.

I dont give a damn either way BUT for clarification: I think its naive to think that Cameron DID NOT imply, through mentioning the Godfather saga in conjunction with Avatar(s), that his movies are masterpieces as well. Especially given the public persona/ perception of Cameron as being very hubristic.
The implication is that the Avatar movie(s) are great, given the statement by Cameron. . A person does not mention something so universally accepted as great (perhaps even masterpeices), in the context of what he/she is doing, unless he/she thinks what they are doing are masterpeices as well.
For me, the film was not universally loved/adored like the Star Wars franchise, for e.g., to justify such a long wait. It really does not hold a paticular placeof reverance in fangirl/boydom. I think like many things he does, James Cameron has totally overvalued his product and now most people do not care.
I was going to put that in the post, but it kind of took away from my argument.
I dont get the love for Avatar either. Aside from it being the first visually decent 3d movie, I find that there are really no other redeeming qualities to it. The story itself was plagerized from Dances with Wolves, and the acting is awful. Add the fact that James Cameron drinks his own bathwater, and all of is MEH.
The fucking hubris of Cameron to even mention the Godfather Saga in the same breath as the schlocky, overproduced, over-acted mediocre Avatar.....
A genuine LOL. Well done.
Not only is Stonimus Prime a transformer, he is a terrible, horrific racist charicature of a British person. And his Earl Gray Blaster really does no good against anything, Decpiticon or otherwise.

I gotta tell you...I see you on here all the time and your Kinja handle rocks. I grew up loving Buckaroo Banzai and always loved Lithgow in it. Well done, sir or ma’am.
