as a guy, I haven’t initiated this topic in conversation much, mostly because I don’t think it’s my place to do that, and it can possibly bring up a lot of bad memories and make the other person uncomfortable and such.

ever see a graph with a line that goes from the bottom left to the upper right?

Not with guys I choose to associate with, but the types of guys you tend to find in subcultures that wallow in ignorance and toxic masculinity, yeah.

I don’t think this is the best way to go about it, but I grew up in a really rural area, and there are a lot of low-income families that really depend on maxing out the hunting permits to supply their family with food. I’d be all for allowing people to have extra permits/tags for their family members if they are

you’d think conspiracy theorists would realize that maybe a government-owned/operated institution isn’t the best place to research government-run conspiracies. :/

that is some barren-ass desert out there. the only people likely to be within a dozen miles or so will probably be his fans and supporters, and I’m not terribly concerned about them either.

I’ve used an old hard-drive magnet on a string with pretty good results in my place that has plaster and lath.

I’ve tried a couple different stud-finders, and have had better results with an old magnet on a string.

trying to be tactful when correcting a simple math error made by a post-doc. and then trying to explain the error to them when they do it again. :/

I can’t remember the details, but I think the running explanation was that the grain of the wood actually drew the bacteria inside, away from the surface, and then the bacteria dehydrated and died?

as if that wasn’t enough, anytime they claim they find “traces of” something, that’s just a red flag for bullshit. “traces of” is meaningless, and there is traces of everything on anything, anywhere.

I’ve just worked cash registers a few times, and that’s enough for me to cringe anytime I see someone rubbing dollar bills on their face/throwing them up in the air and rolling around in them/etc.
