I would use the new Hitman trilogy as a model. Obviously there would be less killing than Hitman but the majority of the game’s puzzle is doing spy infiltration stuff. Also construct a system whereby the player can swap between several team members by parking them in hidden/blended locations.

Kentucky Route Zero is a haunting and all consuming experience. I think I shall play it again soon.

Musk’s politics pivot entirely on how many people are clapping for him at any moment. It’s a race to the bottom

A lot of people fell into this trap during the 2010s and it’s a reference that only gets worse with time. In fairness to Prey it’s ironically fitting for the game’s world building. I’m particularly thinking of the bleak indentured servitude depicted in the Mooncrash DLC.

It’s tough to rank Hanks movies because there are so many little moments that really stick with individual people. I can’t remember 90% of Captain Phillips but that final scene in the sickbay has never left me.

Imagine talk radio only the host and audience can share a live multimedia feed featuring videogames, video clips, entire movies, web content and live broadcasts from outdoors. Instead of “call ins” you have a chat and various avenues for the audience to feel seen and heard. The subject matter of the stream is fluid

It’s weird that the summer only has room for two films now. That’s climate change for you!

“Over [her] dead body?” ..let’s hear her out..

I’m gonna run with this idea and assume the movie would have contained absolutely no aliens. The entire movie would be about Will Smith trying to live a normal life after having saved the world. It would end on a massive downer.

“Makeshift mammoths and dodos are on the way”

No, they absolutely are not. This is an investment scam.

This is silly, but a much better question I always had with the movies was why George McFly’s 1885 maternal ancestor looks like his wife. Is it a deliberate joke about Marty’s family being inbred or just something they didn’t think about too long?

The Killing really flamed-out into complete nonsense during the third season, but I still really enjoyed the central performance of Mireille Enos. There just hadn’t been that many female characters who were such complete and utter disasters on US television at that point in time. I also like how fucking miserable

A good chunk of Europe should absolutely be ashamed.

They should never, ever, EVER make Half-Life 3.

Radical Centrism in action

An interesting point about Voyager is that the project had to race to catch a planetary alignment window that would not occur again for 175 years. It was the most efficient opportunity to pass the five outer planets before sling-shotting into interstellar space. Visiting just one of these planets in the meantime is a

It may help that this is a less well known Poirot story. Having seen the pre-existing adaptations of Nile and Orient Express it was really difficult not to compare them.

I don’t think the Bond books should be edited just because I think everyone should see what a colossal pile of shit they are. Trying to make them last longer is a detriment to the ultimate goal of James Bond fucking off and fading away.

It’s mentioned under Judgement Rites. I agree, though. The two games are a wonderfully fun extra season of TOS.

They have recast a few characters. Replacing Julia Sawalha as Ginger caused a bit of controversy a couple of years back.
